What does this generator make?
App Store screenshots in the style most apps use: a short caption on a coloured background, with your screenshot inside a phone or iPad frame. You can make up to 10, the most Apple takes for one device size in one language, and download them one by one or together in a zip.
Every file is a PNG at the exact size you pick, saved without an alpha channel. Apple's screenshot specifications don't accept alpha channels or transparency, so the generator writes plain RGB files.
Which size should I pick?
The one Apple requires. For iPhone that's the group Apple calls "iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display)", often called 6.3-inch, and the generator makes it at 1206 × 2622. If your app looks the same on every iPhone, Apple says the required size is enough: App Store Connect scales it down for smaller screens.
If your app runs on iPad, Apple also requires the 13-inch iPad size, 2064 × 2752. Pick it here and use screenshots taken on an iPad.
Which screenshots should I start from?
Real ones from your app, taken on a device or in the Simulator, where File, then Save Screen, saves one. Any size works. The frame takes the shape of your screenshot, so nothing is cropped or stretched. Take them all on the same device so the frames match.
For example, a 1179 × 2556 screenshot from an iPhone 15 fits into the 1206 × 2622 image with its own shape. The caption takes the top sixth, and the frame fills most of the rest.
What makes a good caption?
One idea per screenshot, in a few words, about what someone gets rather than what the feature is called. "Plan a week of meals in two minutes" says more than "Meal planner".
Order matters. Apple says the first one to three screenshots show in search results when there's no app preview, so lead with your best one. And keep the app itself in view: App Review Guideline 2.3.3 asks for screenshots that show the app in use, not only title art, a login page or a splash screen. Text over them is fine.
What can't this tool do?
- Apple's device images. The frame is our own simple drawing of a phone or iPad, not Apple's product artwork.
- Several languages at once. Make one set per language, with the captions translated.
- Panoramas and extra art. One screenshot per image, on a plain colour or gradient. No backgrounds that run across images, badges or second devices.
- App previews. The videos have their own specs; the preview video checker covers them.
- App Review. It can't tell whether Apple will accept what your screenshots show.
