What Launch Indie Apps is

Launch Indie Apps is a launch platform and directory for iOS apps built by indie app makers and solo founders. Browsing is free and needs no account. Makers can pay a one-time fee to list an app, and can add a Daily Spotlight (one day on the homepage) or a Weekly Spotlight (seven days at the top of the homepage).

Listings

  • Listed ($9 one-time, or $5 for the first 15 paid listings while that launch price is shown on the pricing page): a permanent app page, subject to approval. It includes the Launch Kit, the Launch Badge, the Launch Map, Launch Reports by email and a mention in the weekly newsletter.
  • Daily Spotlight ($29 one-time, or $15 for the first 15 paid Daily Spotlights while that launch price is shown on the pricing page): everything in Listed, plus one of up to three places in the Daily Spotlight row on the homepage for one day you choose (00:00 to 24:00 UTC), a share image for that day, a results email the morning after and a mention in that week’s newsletter. Labelled “Sponsored”.
  • Weekly Spotlight ($49 one-time, or $25 for the first 10 paid Weekly Spotlights while that launch price is shown on the pricing page): everything in Listed, plus the top position on the homepage for seven consecutive days from the Monday you choose, a featured slot in that week’s newsletter, a share image for the week and a results email when it ends. One app at a time. Labelled “Sponsored”.
  • Listings we add ourselves: free, using public App Store information. A few of these, and occasionally a paid listing, carry an “Editor’s pick” label that we give at our discretion and that cannot be bought. Makers can ask us to remove a listing we added at any time.

“Permanent” means we intend to keep the listing available indefinitely. We may remove a listing where reasonably necessary, for example if the app leaves the App Store, its information becomes inaccurate, or for legal, technical or editorial reasons.

Any listing may also appear elsewhere on the site, for example in the homepage’s Fresh picks, which change every few hours, in categories and in search. We decide where and how often. Only a Daily or Weekly Spotlight buys a set place on the homepage.

Review

A person reviews every submission. Payment is taken before review. We aim to decide within 48 hours of payment, and if we haven’t decided by then you get a full refund, as set out in the Refund Policy. Approval is at our discretion. We may reject or remove submissions that are misleading, fraudulent, harmful, unlawful, unavailable, inaccurate, unrelated to the purpose of the service, or otherwise unsuitable.

What you confirm when you submit

  • You are authorized to list the app and to let us display its name, icon, screenshots and description.
  • The information you provide is accurate and the app is available on the App Store.
  • Any X handle you give is yours, or one you are allowed to use. It is shown publicly on your app page.
  • You will not use the service for scams, fraud, malware, deceptive activity or illegal content.

Launch Kit

The Launch Kit’s posts are drafts, written with the help of an AI model from your app’s details. Read and edit them before posting. You are responsible for what you publish and for following each platform’s rules. Links in the drafts point to your listing and carry a tag that shows where a visit came from. A Spotlight’s share image shows your app’s name, icon, tagline and screenshots with the Spotlight date; you may post it to promote your Spotlight.

Launch Badge and statistics

You may show the Launch Badge on your own website; it links to your listing. Your listing shows its page views and App Store clicks publicly, and they may appear in the site’s public statistics. A click is a visit to the App Store from our pages, not a download.

No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee traffic, page views, App Store clicks, downloads, purchases, subscriptions, ratings, reviews or revenue. Statistics shown on the site are informational and do not predict any app’s performance. We guarantee only what we control; see the Refund Policy.

Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and handles applicable taxes. Prices are listed in US dollars before tax. Checkout may show and charge the equivalent in euros or another local currency.

Content and trademarks

App names, icons and screenshots belong to their owners. Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Launch Indie Apps is not affiliated with Apple.
