What is Uneed?
A daily launch board for tech products. Its help center lists mobile apps as accepted, launches go live at 12:00 AM Pacific, and most visitors are founders and indie hackers.
Why look for a Uneed alternative for an iOS app?
Mostly the wait, and what happens on a quiet day:
- The free date is far away. The free line gives you a launch 30 days to 5 months out. Fast-track is $14.99 for a date about two weeks out, and $29.99 lets you pick your date.
- A quiet launch day costs you the free line. A free launch needs a score of 10 on the day to stay published, and 20 to keep a do-follow link. Miss 10 and only the paid options are left.
- The audience is makers. You compete with every kind of tech product for votes from people who build things, not from people looking for an iOS app.
None of that makes Uneed bad. A paid launch there comes with a followed link, and it does take mobile apps. If you want an audience of iOS users, or a date sooner than a free line allows, the places below are worth a look.

- Rules that trip people up

- The main feed also needs a trust signal (such as 20+ App Store ratings) or full transparency (your real name, contact details, and a website with a privacy policy and terms). Everyone else posts in the monthly App Shelf thread.

When should you stay with Uneed?
Stay with Uneed if:

- your product also has a web version that founders and indie hackers would use
- you can wait for the free date and bring people to vote on the day
Common questions
Is Uneed free?
Yes, if you can wait: the free line gives you a date 30 days to 5 months out. Fast-track is $14.99 for a date about two weeks out, and $29.99 lets you pick the date.
Does Uneed accept iOS apps?
Its help center lists mobile apps as accepted. Products behind a waitlist or invite code are refused, and reviewers need a way to actually try the app.
What happens if a free Uneed launch gets too few votes?
A free launch needs a score of 10 on launch day to stay published. Below that it goes back to your dashboard, and the free line is closed to you, so only paid options are left.
What's a free Uneed alternative for an iOS app?
Product Hunt for a launch day you schedule yourself, Indie Apps for a free listing, and r/iosapps or the Hacking with Swift forums for a post. Each takes an App Store link.
